Résumé
Daniels prend la défense de ses hommes, même s'il sait que Prez, Herc et Carver ont eu tort d'intervenir en pleine nuit dans la cité. Le major Valchek, soucieux de venir en aide à son gendre, Prez, promet du matériel de surveillance, dont les enquêteurs découvrent, à sa livraison, qu'il est périmé. McNulty obtient des micros ultra-modernes auprès de son contact au FBI, Fitzhugh. Freamon déniche une photo d'Avon Barksdale, du temps où il boxait. Chez Orlando, le bar qui sert de repaire au gang Barksdale, D'Orlando, après avoir été félicité par Stringer, se laisse approcher par une strip-teaseuse, Chardene...
