Résumé
Pendant qu'on prépare le mariage d'Ellworth et Alma, Swearengen et Adams revoient ensemble la proposition d'annexation de Yankton. Celle-ci prévoit enfin l'organisation d'élections, à la grande satisfaction de Al. Le fameux George Hearst est arrivé dans le camp. Al s'arrange avec lui pour se débarrasser de Lee au profit de Wu, tandis que Tolliver tente de le faire chanter en lui révélant les meurtres commis par Wolcott.
